The Junkyard Beats workshop experience invites children to band together to create their own Junkyard Orchestra. Children will be taken on a creative journey of discovery, exploring the connection between creative recycling, music and teamwork. One person’s trash proves another’s treasure as our highly energetic music-in-education performers combine drumming, dance, theatre and comedy to create a unique and captivating experience. With a focus on sustainability, boost your child’s thinking and environmental awareness while igniting their creativity as they devise music, help the environment and channel energy in a fun, unique, and collaborative way.

Dennis Golding: Dennis Golding will present a workshop experience that will provide an opportunity for participants to explore ideas of identity and culture by producing a symbol that resonates to an urban experience and/or childhood memory onto a satin mini-cape.

A potted history of Liverpool created by young people.
The young artists from Miller Technology High invite WOW participants to help create a potted history of Liverpool.
The history of the river, as a Darug and Tharawal meeting place to Liverpool's urban history of rapid change will be illustrated - piece by piece - using clay tiles, engraving, printing and painting - all pieces of a mosaic for a giant GARDEN POT to be given to the Bellbird Garden as a gift!
Edible Country will run for two days across the WOW Festival as an interactive art stall located beside the river.
Participants come away with one work for home and one work which will be incorporated in this permanent artwork, on display at the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre for future generations!

At the WOW Festival, he will share his knowledge and passion for native plants through a talk and workshop. Terry will guide a hands-on workshop about planting, how to use the plants and why.
